National Museum in Prague
Josef Pazderka
Yesterday I had a vacation at work and I felt like I had not been adventurous enough so I decided to travel to Prague and visit the National Museum.
Right after walking into the building I started strong.
I went right for the bull's eye. I entered the exhibition of the Přemyslid dynasty.
I did read. I did look. I appreciated.
After about an hour, my ADHD kicked in and I stopped reading. Mind you I was still in the same first exhibition. Luckily enough it was almost over and I was able to move on and find my second exhibition called evolution.
I did look. I did appreciate. I stopped reading.
Which in hindsight might have been a mistake.
As I was looking and appreciating. And as I was slowly but surely moving through the exhibition. I started to notice that the objects and machinery started to get worse and worse. The tools and weapons started to become more and more primitive.
And that is when I realized that I might have accidentally entered the exhibition through the exit door and I was going backwards.
I could have turned around and shamefully walked out through the door I came in. In hopes, I would eventually find the right entrance door to this beloved exhibition about evolution.
But let me tell you something...
Mama raised no quitter !!
So I was continuing down the memory lane. In the opposite direction of the exhibition itself.
After I defeated a horde of tiny little gremlins. Literal children who have been brought here against their will by heavily outnumbered increasingly worrisome teachers whose patience was admirable.
I stumbled up a room full of the overhead virtual glasses. You know the ones that teleport you into a different reality.
Believe it or not. Despite the fact that I am a world-renown PRO GAMER VETERAN.
I never actually had one of these on my face ever.
I was then going through different ages. With small skits delivered by historical figures. Even a one Czech A-lister had a little cameo there. Can't believe they were able to convince him. Of course none of you know who I am talking about and I don't know his name either so...
But that is beside the point.
The very last skit was from the future where two clankers were talking. One humanoid robot and one that appeared to be a drone shaped like a floating head. They were discussing human flaws and seemed to have been cognizant.
But I was there like I think the day after I saw the Frankie LaPenna fight against Terminator. And I am not gonna lie to you. Didn't sit well with me.
Other than that, everything else was great.
I had a wonderful time exploring the museum.
Have a great day...
I will see ya in the next one...
byeeeeeeeee...
